Placing a hold is possible only when the item is checked-out.

Page 1+

Search for your item, and click on the title. If the item is signed out, you will see a "Request" option in the "Get It" section of the record. (Page 1+ will prompt you to sign in, if you're not already) Fill in the request and hit send.

When the item is returned, you will receive an email to your Sault College email. The item will be held at the circulation desk for one week before being returned to the shelf or being offered to the next person with a hold on the item.
